4th of July

I love 4th of July and was excited for the excuse to dress cute and try to get some family pictures.  I love my husband even more for cooperating and matching us.  And thanks to Grandma Snow for taking some really cute pictures!

Camping

So, Kurt and I love to go camping.  We have been dying to go, but have been a little weary about taking Mason.  He has been so good and grown-up lately that we decided to give it a try. We went up to East Canyon Reservoir for one night.  I had never been up there before so I was excited. It was so much fun. Our camp spot was right on the water with bathroom close by, a tent pad, and shelter with a picnic table, fire pit and grill.  We got up there mid afternoon and got set up and enjoyed the awesome weather. Mason loved being outside!  I think he would live outside if he could.  That night we made some yummy tin foil dinners and hung out around the camp fire. Mason had a hard time going to sleep, but finally fell asleep only to wake up a couple hours later. When he woke up, we let him come sit by the camp fire with us, he loved it and had so much fun until he passed out again.  The night went smoothly until we were woken up by the craziest thunderstorm!  Luckily it really didn't rain and we never saw any lightening.  Mason was a champ and slept the whole night.  The next day we just hung out, ate lunch, and enjoyed the out doors.  It was a great trip and we can't wait to go again!

Kurt always catches the cutest moments, I love this pic!

Mason loves playing with anything he hasn't seen before, he played with
this red cup for almost a half 'n hour : )

VEGAS 2010, Our First Family Vacation

We were invited on a last minute trip to Las Vegas this last weekend, since we haven't been on a trip for almost a year we jumped at the invitation.  We were curious how Vegas or any vacation was going to be with a baby, and even though it was different than some of our past trips to Vegas, we had a blast.  Mason loved going to the pool for the first time and was up for anything and everything that we did.  Mason was the hit of Vegas.  Everywhere we went everyone was coming up to him and talking to him and saying how cute and handsome he was and he soaked up every minute of the attention.  We loved showing Mason all the bright lights and craziness of the city.  He couldn't stop staring at everything.  Thanks for the invite Mom, Dad, and Julia, and we can't wait to take little Mason on another vacation!

Mason's 1st time swimming in a pool, he loved it!

The pool had a huge fist tank in the middle of the pool with sharks and fish in it with a slide going through the middle. It was really cool!

Mason relaxing at the pool.  He was loving the good life!

he loved it!

Mommy and Mason at the Bellagio Fountains.  He had been sleeping in his stroller and woke up just in time to see the show. He was so excited and slap happy the rest of the night. It was so funny!

We were walking back to the car and Mason was just laughing and loving his Daddy.  It was such a cute moment and I'm so happy we caught it on camera.

My 1st Mother's Day

Yesterday was my first Mother's Day and thanks to my wonderful husband and my sweet little boy, it was the perfect day.  Mason slept in until 8:45 which was a very nice treat for me. Kurt was even happier cause he was taking care of him that morning.  I got the perfect gift, a 90 minute deep tissue massage. I don't know how Mason knew what I wanted, but he read my mind : ) We went to my favorite restaurant, P.F. Changs for lunch and then went to Liberty Park to enjoy the beautiful weather.  It was an amazing day with my family and made me so grateful for what I have. I love being a Mom and I love my little Mason!

It's almost Summer

The weather lately has been feeling like summer and we have been taking full advantage.  We have been taking Mason to the park a lot and he has been loving spending time outside.  My poor winter baby can finally enjoy the sun!

Mason's First Hike

We have been loving this gorgeous weather, so we decided to take Mason for his first hike. We went up Bell Canyon and had a picnic at the top by the lake.  It was very fun and Mason had a blast, but Kurt and I realized we need to get in better shape, it was up hill the whole time :)

Mason loves Mommy

I was singing to Mason the other day and he was mesmerized by my voice.  Anyone who knows me well knows that I do not have a good voice.  It made me feel very special that my little Mason loves his Mommy no matter what.  Dad was quick enough to catch this cute moment.
